At a time when youth need connection, confidence, and purpose more than ever, Scouts is answering the call. Yet Scouting has also faced real challenges. In recent years, membership declined, volunteerism has been harder to sustain, and financial pressures have tested the organization’s resilience. Today, Scouts Canada is rebuilding, recovering membership, reshaping its programs, and renewing the volunteer experience. Now, as the organization enters this pivotal chapter, we are looking for a technology leader who not only shares this mission, but who is ready to drive digital transformation and build the systems that will enable Scouts Canada to thrive into the future.

 

As Chief Technology Officer, you will be more than a steward of systems and infrastructure, you will be the architect of Scouts Canada’s digital future. Leading enterprise-wide technology strategy, data governance, and transformation initiatives, you will enable the organization to scale its impact, improve operational efficiency, and unlock new opportunities for growth and engagement. You will ensure technology reduces risk, enhances program quality, strengthens volunteer and youth recruitment and retention, and empowers staff and volunteers to perform at their best.

 

This is leadership with purpose. You will sit at the Executive Leadership table, shaping bold modernization that aligns digital decisions with mission priorities. From embedding user-centred design and inclusive digital engagement, to ensuring cybersecurity and safeguarding resilience, your work will ensure every innovation serves Scouts’ volunteers, families, and youth.

 

The ideal candidate is a values-driven digital leader who sees technology not just as infrastructure, but as a catalyst for connection, equity, and impact. Strategic and collaborative, you bring expertise in IT modernization, data strategy, and digital transformation. You inspire trust across diverse stakeholders, and you are committed to designing systems that are accessible, inclusive, and representative of the communities Scouts serves. Above all, you believe every digital tool should expand opportunity for young people to discover who they are and what they can become.

The target compensation for this role is $160K with competitive health benefits and defined contribution pension plan.
