This is a rare opportunity to join a high-impact leadership team during a once-in-a-generation expansion. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance and Administration & CFO, the Director, Finance will lead VAA’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, contracts, and compliance. This strategic role oversees a small, high-performing team and plays a key part in capital planning, debt financing, and systems modernization. The Director will collaborate across departments, contribute to executive and board-level decision-making, and ensure financial systems, processes and policies support VAA’s long-term growth and innovation. This role offers meaningful executive exposure and the opportunity for progressive leadership growth within VAA’s finance team.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned financial leader with a CPA designation and at least 10 years of experience in complex financial environments. They bring expertise in finance and accounting, capital planning, contract oversight, and regulatory compliance, ideally within aviation, public transportation, public sector, or similarly regulated organizations. Known for their integrity, strategic thinking, and collaborative leadership, they will foster a trusted, tech-forward finance function and build strong relationships across the organization and with external stakeholders.
